Pastor Somer Reed – “He Is with Us in the Preparation” – Verdugo Community Church April 6, 2025

Pastor Somer Reed from Marina Christian Fellowship, in her sermon, “He Is with Us in the Preparation,” continues our Lenten journey by reminding us that we should seek God not just at the milestones in our journey of faith, but as we prepare for them. This theme is found in the Psalms, the prophets and Paul’s letters, and, lived out by Jesus in his ministry. Our lives are like a long and winding road, with twists, highs and lows. What we learn in the low spots makes it possible to understand and appreciate God’s role in the high spots. Rather than dwell on past problems, we should strive, as Paul said in Philippians 3,:12 to “press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.“
