VERDUGO COMMUNITY CHURCH SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE MAY 25, 2025

Pastor Gail Linstrom begins our service by welcoming all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Psalm 33, and Michael Blanco opens us in prayer. Nick Baltazar and Ed Manacop lead us in joyous singing. Albert Ramseyer takes up the praises and concerns of the church, our city, and our world in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Gail concludes our service by leading us in Communion and you are invited to participate.

 

In his sermon, “One God, Three in One,” Chaplain David Saltzman uses the words of Jesus in John 14 to help explain the relationship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as the Trinity. He makes the point that unlike human relationships, there is no hierarchy. The Trinity is not a chain of command but a circle of love working in distinct roles unified by the same mission. Each aspect of God works to provide us with the love and support we need to help bring about the Kingdom of God.
