Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for Easter Sunday April 4, 2021

Happy Easter! Verdugo Community Church returns to in-person service today. We begin today’s celebration with song, led by Music Director Heidi Sandoval. Lead Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Isaiah 6 and 26. Albert Ramseyer opens us with prayer. Heidi leads us in more Easter praise and worship music. Pastor David Saltzman looks at how God has intended all things to work for the good from Creation onward in his sermon, “Still We Rise.” He uses Jacob’s response to meeting Adonai in his about the ladder to heaven and the determination of the women followers of Jesus to go the the tomb and complete his burial regardless of the obstacles to show us ways act on our faith to address our own problems. Pastor Gail then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate.
