Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for March 13, 2022

Andrew Mumm welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Psalm 91, and Andrew opens us in prayer. Guest Music Director Nicholas Baltazar leads us in praise and worship music. Greg Hart focuses us on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Daniel Whipple from Rose City Church challenges us to view the experience of Jesus going into the Wilderness after his baptism as found in Luke 4 as a way to strengthen our relationship and understanding of God in his sermon, “40 Days to a New World.” He looks at others in the Bible who went through the Wilderness experience, such as Moses and Elijah. Using his experience as a hospital chaplain he reminds us that while we may we feel isolated in bad situations, God is always with us. Pastor Daniel then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
Verdugo is again meeting in person but will continue making audio copies of its Sunday service available to you online at this site. Video copies of the sermons and selected services will be available on our Faceook page at www.facebook.com/verdugochurch.
