Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for November 7, 2021
Monday Nov 08, 2021
Monday Nov 08, 2021
We begin our service singing “I Will Follow.” Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading of Psalm 16, and Andrew Mumm opens us in prayer. Music Director Heidi Sandoval then leads us in praise and worship music. Albert Ramseyer focuses us on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Gail has the honor of conducting the installation ceremony of Andrew Mumm as a Local Ministerial Candidate at Verdugo Community Church. Andrew Mumm urges us to keep in mind the exhortation of Saint Paul in Romans 12 to only worry about the work that God has given us to do, not society’s demands to do it all, in his sermon “The Courage to Not Conform to the Pattern of the World.” Pastor Gail leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
Verdugo Community Church is again having in-person Sunday services at 10:00 a.m., but continues to make its Sunday service available to you online at this site.
