Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for October 3, 2021

We begin our service singing “Seek Ye First.” Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds, in English, and Andrew Mumm, in Spanish, call us to worship with a reading from Psalm 62, and Andrew opens us in prayer. Music Director Heidi Sandoval then leads us in praise and worship music. Greg Hart focuses us on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Gail draws parallels between Job and the story of the rich young ruler to urge us to go beyond rule following to truly follow God in her sermon, “The Heart of the Relationship.” This is World Communion Sunday, and Pastor Gail leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.

Verdugo Community Church is again having in-person Sunday services at 10:00 a.m., but continues to make its Sunday service available to you online at this site.
