Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for October 31, 2021
Monday Nov 01, 2021
Monday Nov 01, 2021
We begin our service singing “When the Saints Go Marching In and Down to the River to Pray.” Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Psalm 145, and Pastor Gail opens us in prayer. Music Director Heidi Sandoval then leads us in praise and worship music. Albert Ramseyer focuses us on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Gail in her sermon “Living Faith – Living Hope – Living Love” invites us to reconsider what a saint is on All Saints Sunday, looking at Saint Paul’s affirmation of the believers in Ephesians 1: 11 – 23. Pastor Gail leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
Verdugo Community Church is again having in-person Sunday services at 10:00 a.m., but continues to make its Sunday service available to you online at this site.
Verdugo Community Church, a Free Methodist congregation serving the Glassell Park, Eagle Rock, and Glendale areas in Los Angeles, is located at 4300 Verdugo Road, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
