Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for September 26, 2021
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
Thursday Sep 30, 2021
We begin our service singing “How Great Thou Art”. Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Deuteronomy 8. Luisa Fermandez opens us in prayer. Music Director Heidi Sandoval then leads us in praise and worship music. Albert Ramseyer focuses us on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Andrew Mumm uses the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 11 and the miraculous healing of the lepers in Luke 17 to explore how we sometimes miss the blessings in our own lives or even take credit for what God has done in his sermon, “The Urgency of Now.” Pastor Gail then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
Verdugo Community Church is again having in-person Sunday services at 10:00 a.m., but continues to make its Sunday service available to you online at this site.
