Verdugo Community Church Worship Service for September 5, 2021

Music Director Heidi Sandoval begins with an instrumental Prelude. Lead Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds lead us in a call to worshipwi+th a responsive reading of Psalm 146, and Albert Ramseyer opens us in prayer. Heidi then leads us in praise and worship music. Greg Hart focuses on the concerns and praises of the congregation in the Prayers of the People. Pastor Gail reminds us of God’s consistent call to live out our faith in how we treat others, looking at Isaiah 58, Mattthew 25 and James 1 and 2 in her sermon, “Works are the Reality of Our Faith.” Pastor Gail then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.

Verdugo Community Church is again having in-person Sunday services at 10:00 a.m., but continues to make its Sunday service available to you online at this site.
