VERDUGO COMMUNITY CHURCH WORSHIP SERVICE JULY 24, 2022

We begin our service in song. Pastor Gail Whitcome Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Psalm 139 ,and Louisa Fernandez opens us in prayer. Music Leaders Nicolas Baltazar and Marvin Juan accompanied by Mike Minasyan lead us in praise and worship music. Andrew Mumm takes up the concerns of the church and our world in the Prayers of the People*. In his sermon,”Praying Like Jesus Taught Us,” Andrew looks at Luke 11:1 – 13 where Jesus teaches his followers to pray. We need to have faith that if we seek God’s will to be done, he will provide us with what we need, although in ways we might not have asked for.

 

Pastor Gail then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
