VERDUGO COMMUNITY CHURCH WORSHIP SERVICE NOVEMBER 27, 2022

Pastor Gail Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family on this First Sunday in Advent. Dale Reynolds calls us to worship with a reading from Isaiah 9 and 12, and we light the first Advent Candle signifying hope and sing a carol. Jessica Fernandez opens us with prayer. Nick Baltazar, Derrick Adams, Jessica Jimenez, and Mike Minasyan lead us in praise and worship music. Greg Hart takes up the concerns of the church and our world in the Prayers of the People.

 

In her sermon, “My Story, His Glory, The Witness,” Pastor Adjua Adams, from Light and Life West, Long Beach, shares how she was able to turn from a harsh and sinful life to one of joy and hope through the love and grace of God, thanks to the ceaseless prayers and love of others for her. We all can similarly do the same for the salvation of others.

 

Pastor Gail then leads us in Communion, so you are invited to have bread or crackers and a beverage ready to participate in this sacrament.
