VERDUGO COMMUNITY CHURCH WORSHIP SERVICE SEPTEMBER 17, 2023

We open our service with song.  Pastor Gail Linstrom welcomes all to worship and to participate in the life of our church family.  Pastor Gail gives our Call to Worship inspired by Psalm 34, and Albert Ramseyer opens us in prayer.  Nick Baltazar and Ed Manacop lead us in our praise singing.  Greg Hart takes up the praises and concerns of the church and our world in the Prayers of the People. 

 

In her sermon, “God’s Gifts Reveal Our Identity in Him,” Pastor Gail looks at Paul’s explanation in 1 Corinthians 12 that the spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit bestows on believers are unique to each of us.  We need to discover what spiritual gifts we have been given, as well as insight into what our strengths are. To use our gifts and talents effectively, we must grow our relationship with God and with each other. Then as the body of Christ, we can work together using our spiritual gifts to accomplish his plan to build the Kingdom of God on earth.
